Household support Fund 6 November 2024 (by helena steeples (hsteeples)) |
School has been made aware of the The Household Support Fund (HSF) which is a grant that has been awarded to Councils by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to help vulnerable families and households facing financial hardship to help pay for food, energy and essential living costs. The HSF has been extended for 6 months up to the end of March 2025 and each vulnerable family/household will be able to access a maximum of 2 awards. The awards are calculated at £65 for the first adult and £15 for a partner/spouse and each dependent child under the age of 19.
If you think you may be eligible and would like school to apply for you, please contact the school office. Please note, evidence that a family is experiencing financial hardship, such as a bank statement or a letter from the DWP would need to be seen by school. Additionally, an applicant would need to discuss why their family is currently experiencing financial pressure. All applications will be treated respectfully and confidentially.
