We hope this communication finds you well. Listed below are details of upcoming events happening in school before the end of term.

4.7.23 – Moving up Mornings: children will spend the morning in their new classes with their new class teachers. New reception children will be in at 9:15 with their parents invited to join children for lunch at 11:15

4.7.23 – Transition day @John Port: Year 6 children going to John Port in September to spend the day at John Port. They will be notified of form groups on 3.3.23.

4.7.23 – 6.7.23 - Transition days @QEGS: Year 6 children going to QEGS in September to spend the three days at QEGS.

5.7.23 – KS1 Mini Olympics @ The Mease, Hilton: Year 1 and 2 children will be transported by coach accompanied by school staff. Children to wear their PE kits. Normal pick-up times apply.

6.7.23 – Primary Maths Challenge @ John Port: two teams of Year 5 and 6 children will be attending. Parents to drop off at John Port reception at 9:15 and collect from the same place at 2:30. Children to wear school uniform.

7.7.23 – EYFS Change for Life event @ Heath Fields Primary School: Reception children will be transported by coach accompanied by school staff. Children to wear their PE kits. Normal pick-up times apply.

7.7.23 – Moving up morning 2: children will spend the morning in their new classes with their new class teachers.

7.7.23 – School Council Fun Afternoon: children will need to bring a change of clothes that they can get wet and a towel for this! Please see the previous letter from the school council for details of how to pay for the event.

7.7.23 – Celebration Worship cancelled: due to the fun afternoon, there will be no worship.

11.7.23 – Year 5 and 6 Rounders tournament @ Eureka Park: children will be notified next week if they are in the team.

12.7.23 – Doodlebug Art and Mindfullness workshops: all children will take part in a workshop led by an art specialist. Parents are invited to join us for an assembly led by the artist from 2:30.

13.7.23 – Key Stage 2 Production ‘Let Loose’: doors open at 6:00 for a 6:30 start. If you have not already purchased tickets, please visit Parent Pay. Key Stage 1 children will have opportunity to watch the play in school earlier.

14.7.23 – Break the school rules day: children can choose from different rules to break to raise funds for the school. Please use Parent Pay to make your donations.

14.7.23 – Final Celebration Worship: to include termly English, Maths and Reading awards. Earlier start time of 2:30.

14.7.23 – Issue of children’s report: please look out for these in your children’s bags.

17.7.23 – 18.7.23 – Bikeability: Year 5 (Monday am only) and Year 6 (all day Monday and Tuesday) to complete cycling proficiency course. Please bring bikes to school at normal time (let us know if bikes need to be dropped off at other times. Bikes can be left at school overnight.

17.7.23 – Year 6 Leavers Treat: Go Karting @ Midland Karting, Lichfield, followed by tea at McDonalds. Parents will need to get children there for 4:45.

20.7.23 – Year 6 Leavers Service: Year 6 children will lead a celebration of their time at Church Broughton in church. Parents are invited from 9:15.

21.7.23 – School closes for summer: parents of Year 6 children are invited to join us for the final sending-off from 2:50.
