Please note that high temperatures have been forecast all week. To help your child to manage, dress them in loose-fitting, clothing - if they feel cooler in their PE kits, it is fine for them to wear either school uniform or PE kits for the duration of this week. Children should wear hats that shade the face, neck, and ears at break and lunch times - please make sure they have this. Children who do not have a hat will be asked to stay in the shade. Apply sunscreen before bringing your child to school and if you wish, your child can bring extra into school, but they will need to apply it themselves. In school, we will encourage children to stay in the shade as much as possible. High levels of physical exertion will be discouraged to avoid over heating and children will be reminded to drink plenty of water throughout the day.

Classrooms all have fans, and windows and blinds will be used to try and maintain as cool a temperature as possible.
