Covid Guidance4 April 2022 (by Andrew Rudge (arudge)) |
The country is moving into hopefully, the final phase of living with Covid as we do with other viral infections.
From last Friday, we will be following the guidance set out below should a child or member of staff be ill:
· adults with the symptoms of a respiratory infection, and who have a high temperature or feel unwell, should try to stay at home and avoid contact with other people until they feel well enough to resume normal activities and they no longer have a high temperature · children and young people who are unwell and have a high temperature should stay at home and avoid contact with other people. They can go back to school, college or childcare when they no longer have a high temperature, and they are well enough to attend · adults with a positive COVID-19 test result should try to stay at home and avoid contact with other people for 5 days, which is when they are most infectious. For children and young people aged 18 and under, the advice will be 3 days |
We understand that having a poorly child and having to take time off work can be stressful and inconvenient. However, if a child is feeling unwell or has a temperature, the best place for them is at home for a day or two where they can rest, recover and you can keep a close eye on them for any further developing symptoms.
We would like to thank all of our parents for the support you have offered over the last 2 years as we have moved through the pandemic with the changing rules and requirements. You have all helped keep the school safe for children, staff and families.
